It has been agreed that the North East Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC) and North East Biofuels will manage the delivery of the Strategy and have submitted a business plan which has been approved by One North East.  This decision means that the Agency will grant aid to support delivery of the Strategy.

There are five key areas of work:

• Technology development and innovation
• Business support and finance
• Supply chain
• Cluster leadership and representation
• Communication and networking support

Together these provide a framework to develop the Energy industry in the region.
